Dishonesty &#8212; and lack of disclosure &#8212; is a huge mistake.\u00c2\u00a0 For creating a healthy, long-lasting relationship, dishonesty is <strong>not<\/strong> OK.<\/p>\n<p>Masking your desires is not being considerate.\u00c2\u00a0 Be careful not to confuse yourself about this.\u00c2\u00a0 Your partner cannot work with you on accomplishing your desires and sensitivity to your feelings if s\/he does not know what those desires and feelings are.<\/p>\n<p>One reason it is important for you to be clear and honest is that it gives both of you an opportunity to assess whether or not you are going to be a good match. You need to know this as soon as possible. Another reason it is important to be honest and clear with your partner is that people respect bold, honest, straight talk.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, exercise care not to go on and on explaining why you want what you want.
