 ie=UTF8&amp;tag=hypnoprogrtor-20&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;camp=1789&amp;creative=9325&amp;creativeASIN=0060988479\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">The Mind and The Brain<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>It has far-reaching implications.\u00c2\u00a0 One of its most astounding implications is that &#8212; rather than the brain being fixed, incapable of learning after certain critical periods in our development, the brain is flexible, capable of learning throughout the span of our lives.<\/p>\n<p>When learning occurs, it creates a specific neural network in the brain.\u00c2\u00a0 This brain network can be seen via functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI).\u00c2\u00a0 fMRI takes pictures of the brain.\u00c2\u00a0 These fMRI images depict the new neural network that exists after learning has occurred.\u00c2\u00a0 By repetition of the learning, the neural network will become stronger and stronger.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, old, dysfunctional neural networks can be weakened.\u00c2\u00a0 This weakening occurs when we no longer repeat the old learning.\u00c2\u00a0 When we no longer repeat the old learning, the neural network associated with that specific learning becomes less vital and, over time, begins to disintegrate.<\/p>\n<p>Current research discoveries in Brain Science have also lead to advances in new <!--more-->technologies and therapies.\u00c2\u00a0 These studies demonstrate that the brain can be rewired into new neural maps.\u00c2\u00a0 This ability of the brain is called neuroplasticity.\u00c2\u00a0 This cutting research has been shown to be so powerful that it will do doubt result in other practical applications and discoveries.<\/p>\n<p>Psychiatrist and author, Jeffrey Schwartz, M.D., and co-author Sharon Begley have recorded the Power of Mental Force in their book, &#8220;<a title=\"Neuroplasticity:  Psychology Brain Science Research\" href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/0060988479\/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?
