We control our lives by giving meaning to the things in our life. These meanings have been formed by us over the course of our lives and are shaped by our own world views and psychology.

Parent steps in with a helping handWe all grow up with a set of beliefs and values. A lot of these thoughts are formed right in our own home. What did you see when you were growing up? What did your parents teach you? What happened to you in school? Were there traumatic moments?

How you look at an event makes all the difference in the world.  It vastly affects everything in your life.

Once established, most people go through life with the same view of their life. And, this affects your destiny. How can two different children in the same household grow up to be completely different? It is what you do with the experiences you have in your life and how you view them.

If one child always thinks negatively about his experiences and does not possibly see them as lessons in life and become thankful for those lessons, this child will grow up thinking everyone is out to get them or that everyone owes them something in life.

Are you always happy or always sad? No one wants to be around someone is sad or down all the time. It can start affecting your relationships and you will end up spending a lot of time by yourself. On the other hand, people love to hang out or be around people who always seem to be happy. Even if you walk up and are sad or down their whole being and presence can bring you up!
