When you are feeling frazzled, it can seem as though things are sliding from bad to worse. When this happens in your life, it is time to do something drastic!

Even though it may feel as though it is the LAST thing you can imagine yourself doing, it is important to S – T – O – P everything … to start breathing deeply and slowly … to clear your mind … and relax. While you are uptight and tense, there isn’t time to proceed with any other activity!

Isn’t that just the opposite of what we often do? Often, when we get frazzled, we start to move faster and faster … and become more and more nonproductive! That is the problem.

In order to stop the cycle that being hectic brings with it, it is important to do just the opposite of what our tendency might be. It is important, even, to fight our natural inclination to rush all-that-much-more. This is just counterproductive. Often, when we get stressed and pressured, we end up doing things wrong — and making mistakes — that it takes longer to remedy later!

So, rather than to make more work for yourself, it is important to relax — stop — get your breath — clear your mind — breathe some more — simply let yourself be! That’s right, just exist for a few minutes. Let your breathing be enough. Let your focus on breathing be all that is occurring …

And, in the process of doing this, something almost-magical occurs: You lose that sense of feeling hectic. You begin to feel more content and at peace. You start to enjoy the moment. You relax … and you can think clearly once again!

If it sounds too simple, then we must be on the right track! Repeatedly, I have observed that it is the simple solutions that seem to work best in life. Now the important thing is TO DO IT … and find out for yourself how this magic works!
