Stress Relief: 5 More Ways to Relieve Holiday Stress
Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Spiritual Healing, Stress Remedies
The holidays are nearly here! Do you find yourself already getting sucked into the whirl of activity that characterizes this time of year?
With so much to do and so many people to see, it’s easy to see how one can get MORE stressed than ever … even though this is, traditionally, intended to be the season of peace and goodwill.
Follow the following tips on 5 ways to relieve stress during the holidays. Would you let me know how they help you come through smiling and stress free?
1. VOLUNTEER TO GIVE TO OTHERS:
Give to others by volunteering at a community project, center or event. There is plenty of evidence to show that giving to others, especially at this time of year when the focus is so firmly on materialism, actually helps to relieve our own stress. Connecting with others in this way raises your self-esteem. It also can raise the self-esteem of other family members that you may choose to involve, especially your children.
2. POSITIVE SELF-TALK:
Practice positive self-talk. An excellent way to do this is to think up and write out your own positive affirmations. Choose ones that are especially appropriate to your situation.
You could, for example, write something like: ‘I am handling the holidays perfectly with calm and good humor!’ Then, stick up little notes with your affirmation all around — to make it easy to see them and be reminded to repeat and follow them. Or, keep a copy in your pocket to be referred to in moments of stress!
3. STICK TO YOUR Read more

Gratitude: Use Gratitude to Create a Bounty of Positive Change!
Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Spiritual Healing
Consistent gratitude is one of the most powerful tools that you can use to propel yourself into a brighter tomorrow. Gratitude isn’t a magical shortcut, though. It doesn’t necessarily create any changes outside of yourself. What it can do, however, is open you up to other opportunities.
As you become aware of the multitude of blessings already present in your life, you may begin to focus on abundance more and more. This can set you on a path to a mental state rich in optimism.
This transformation takes place as you begin to express genuine gratitude to others, and start feeling gratitude for everything in your life that brings you joy.
Become Receptive to Abundance
A great way to increase your awareness of the abundance you already have is to start a gratitude journal. You don’t have to wait for something great to come into your life to appreciate it. Instead, just open your notebook once a day and take a few minutes to write down everything you’re thankful for.
You can feel grateful for anything, big or small. On days when you think you have absolutely nothing appreciate, you can prime the pump by taking stock of the little things. For instance, take note of the air you’re breathing or the food in your pantry.
Once you realize that there are so many things to be grateful for, you’ll find that you can think of more and more blessings in your life.
After several weeks of journaling in this way, you may find that you’re spontaneously Read more

Beat the blues with these 6 practices to help you develop your sense of gratitude:
1. Keep a list of the things you’re grateful for. The next time that you feel angry, frustrated, or a bit depressed, make a list and literally count your blessings. Making a list helps you to stop obsessing over the current situation.

Manage Your Life: Manage Your “State”!
Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Physical Healing
How do you manage your life or “state?†You might ask “What is my ‘state’?†State is your “State of Mind, your State of Body and your State of Focus.†When you manage your state you can easily manage your life.
Your state affects all of your body—not just your mind. What? No way! Yes. It’s true. Your mind — and with it, the language that you choose to use — can wreak havoc on your physical and emotional state.
Make a RADICAL change! Don’t settle!
Let’s delve into these three types of patterns to show you how they can affect your life:
- Physical. This could be called your “body language.†How do you go about the day? Is your head held high or all you slumped over like someone just beat you down? How is your breathing? Is it shallow or do you take in every breath knowing that this is the substance that your whole body counts on to live? How do you move about during the day? Do you move with confidence or do you run into the nearest corner when you see another human being heading your way? All day long you use your body consciously or unconsciously.
- Emotional. What do you focus on during the day? What do you focus on during the evening hours? Whatever you focus on it will affect your state of mind. The mind is a funny organism. It has complete control over the rest of our body. Focus = Feeling. Whatever you are focused on becomes your reality. Whatever you are focused on is where all of your energy will go. You have probably experienced this in your life at one time or another.
- Language. This is an extremely important state. If, for example, you are focusing on something you think has been done to you, you get a very different sense than if you start focusing instead on what you can give in the situation. Turn it around and see what a difference it makes. You sometimes add fuel to the fire by the words you add to filter a meaning. This can go one of two ways: good words might make the situation better and/or bad words can make it worse. You need to watch the language you use when controlling your state.

Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Physical Healing, Spiritual Healing
Each of us needs to feel that they are in control of their life. So what are the compelling reasons to manage your life? Here are a few … so serve as examples of what it is like to manage your life in a new, positive aspect.
We control our lives by giving meaning to the things in our life. These meanings have been formed by us over the course of our lives and are shaped by our own world views and psychology.
We all grow up with a set of beliefs and values. A lot of these thoughts are formed right in our own home. What did you see when you were growing up? What did your parents teach you? What happened to you in school? Were there traumatic moments?
- How do you look at life?
- Do you always view things negatively or positively?
- Do you even see the difference and how this can affect your overall outlook on life?
How you look at an event makes all the difference in the world. It vastly affects everything in your life.
Once established, most people go through life with the same view of their life. And, this affects your destiny. How can two different children in the same household grow up to be completely different? It is what you do with the experiences you have in your life and how you view them.
If one child always thinks negatively about his experiences and does not possibly see them as lessons in life and become thankful for those lessons, this child will grow up thinking everyone is out to get them or that everyone owes them something in life.
Are you always happy or always sad? No one wants to be around someone is sad or down all the time. It can start affecting your relationships and you will end up spending a lot of time by yourself. On the other hand, people love Read more

Do you believe the following?:
- that you are in poverty,
- you were born into poverty and
- there is nothing you can do to get yourself out of poverty?
When you latch onto this idea, hold it in mind, and make it reality, this becomes your truth. Your subconscious mind creates what you believe about yourself. This is called self-fulfilling prophecy. However, if you do not attach yourself to these idea, this reality does not need not become your truth.
How do some people make it out of poverty to go on to become some of the most successful people you have ever heard about? These people create the conditions in order to rise above their circumstance.
If you want to change being poor, make it happen. No one can do it for you. You have to see yourself being something other than poor. Create the conditions by studying, reading, getting a mentor, follow the guide of someone else who you want to emulate who has made themselves successful.
Along with that thought, who does not wish that they were wealthy? You have to be able to see yourself Read more

Manage Your Life: Create the Conditions to Manage Your Life
Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Physical Healing, Spiritual Healing
Everyone on planet Earth has a different story. We all have to create the conditions to manage our lives and create our own stories from the resources we have gathered over our lifetime. If your life is not turning out how you envisioned it, make adjustments and change your story.
What are your beliefs? Are you influenced by the power of suggestion or autosuggestion? Your mind is a wondrous muscle if used correctly. Your mind can be used to create pain or pleasure. And, depending on how much pain or pleasure you want to hold onto in your life is exactly how you create the conditions in your life.
Tap into the subconscious of your mind. You can control your thoughts whether they are good or bad. You create your thoughts and hold on to them or let them subside into the recesses of your mind. What you do with these thoughts are the causes and effects in your life. An effect is nothing more than an experience you have manifested from your own thoughts. When a cause is removed from the effect there is virtually nothing Read more

Stress-free: Additional Tips to Combat Stress and Relieve Depression
Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Stress Remedies
Here are some additional tips to assist you in managing depression more effectively by reducing stress. A stress-free lifestyle could very well do wonders in eliminating depression.
1. Search Out For A Support Group. You’ll be able to manage stress much better if you have other people helping and supporting you. Did you know that married people and people who are outgoing (always meeting with friends), have considerably low levels of stress in their lives?
- Choose positive friends who are not worriers. Friends who continually put you down or talk gloomily about life will increase your anxiety. Invite a good friend to help you talk out a problem and get it off your chest. A long-distance call to an old pal can be great therapy.
- Pardon others instead of holding grudges. Slow down your standards – for yourself and others. Don’t expect too much. Perfectionism is not the means to happiness.
- Become more flexible and adaptable to your environment.
- Communicate clearly with your co-workers and boss.
- Ask questions. Repeat instructions that you are given. Clarifying directions at the start of a project can save lots of time later rectifying out misunderstandings.
- Be honest in your dealings with others. Lying and cheating leads to stress.

Stress-free: Combat Stress and Relieve Depression
Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Stress Remedies
A stress-free lifestyle could very well do wonders in eliminating depression. Here are some practical methods to help you to effectively relief depression and combat stress:
1. Express Amusement and Be Happy. Laugh hard and loud. If you don’t have a sense of humor, find someone else who has. Laughter releases endorphins (happy chemicals) from the body, and it helps boost your immune system.
2. Take Control Over Your Time and Schedule. You’ll be much more able to deal with stress if you have a good handle on your job, relationships, and other activities. When you are in control, you are more inclined to stay focused and calm.
- Plan your time wisely.
- Remember to leave room for unexpected events – both negative and positive. Be adaptable in rearranging your agenda. Get up 15 minutes early in the morning. Allow an extra 15 minutes to get to all appointments.
- Avoid procrastinating on important or urgent tasks. Whatever needs doing, do it immediately. Do the unpleasant tasks early, so that you won’t have to worry about them for the rest of the day.
- Keep an appointment or record book. Don’t just rely on your memory. Do your tasks one thing at a time at a time. Focus your attention on the present moment, whether it’s the person talking to you or the job at hand. This helps you to avoid making errors – which lead to more tension and anxiety.
- Be patient in waiting. Anxiety caused by impatience can rise up your blood pressure.
- Say “no†to requests that you cannot accomplish. Delegate trivial tasks. You must remember that you don’t have to do it all yourself. Crack a job into separate tasks and assign them to people with the suitable skills.

Expectations: Manage Your Expectations!
Filed Under Emotional Healing, Life Coaching, Mental Healing, Stress Remedies
If you are a fan of Charles Dickens, you know that great expectations can lead to house fires and being pursued by escaped convicts. The consequences are usually more subtle in real life, but managing your expectations can make you happier and more successful.
In fact, psychologists believe that the most effective approach is to aim high while being flexible and realistic. Try these tips for enjoying great expectations while you turn setbacks into victories.
Setting Your Expectations
1. Distinguish between goals and expectations. You can want to lose 30 pounds or buy a new car without letting your happiness depend on such events. Work with whatever circumstances come your way. Replace disappointment with acceptance and curiosity.
2. Let go of the past. Most of our expectations are based on our previous experience. Examine your old habits and make conscious choices about how you want to live.
3. Raise the bar. Ambitious goals challenge you to Read more
